The Town of Manchester has officially lifted the mandatory water restrictions that were put into place this past summer as a result of the drought conditions experienced by the entire Mid-Atlantic region. A voluntary water ban remains in effect and residents are still urged to use water efficiently.
"The citizens of our town responded positively to the call to use water wisely, saving thousands of gallons of water overall," commented Mayor Christopher D'Amario. “The council and I can not thank our residents enough for working with us as we build our levels back to adequate levels.”
The town will continue to monitor rainfall and aquifer recharge closely and is appealing to everyone to maintain the good habits adopted recently to avoid future limitations.
